Teacups and Trust... 4.16.13


Today's Teacup Treat ?

Another unexpected charity shop find 
that really needed a change of homes! ...


Royal Albert's Vintage "Needle Point" pattern 


This pattern was introduced in 1927 but it is not clear when it was discontinued.

is the tip off to being circa 1927
as well as the pattern #Reg. Nº 829286
not the later number with just the Royal Albert name.
Found that interesting and helpful as I've hunted for the matching
dessert plate ...

Now all I need do is trust I'll find the teaplate to make it a trio!

The spring blizzard stopped last evening
so I anticipate being able to leave for the conference Thursday
as planned.  Trusting.  Grateful!
Any chance of popping into some thrifty type shop while away?
hmmm...

    You just never know what you will find at the thrift shop! You have found a beauty. I don't see the needlepoint pattern cups often.

    I have never seen that cup and saucer which is really unique! It sure does look like needlepoint! Just lovely!

    I have loved that pattern for a long time. It is so pretty up close like that. I am glad it went to a good home! :)
    I think it would be fun to have it with Petit Point too. I have some of those plates and cups and saucers...

    Been around and seen a lot of tea cups, but never one like this. A real treasure. I have a lot needlepoint, but not a cup. How interesting.
