Amazing news has spread across the Scottish countryside. The most famous of highland bachelors, police sergeant Hamish Macbeth, will be married at last. Everyone in the village of Lochdubh adores Josie McSween, Macbeth's newest constable and blushing bride-to-be.
While locals think Josie is quite a catch, Hamish has a case of prenuptial jitters. After all, if it weren't for the recent murder of a beautiful woman in a neighbouring village, there wouldn't be a wedding at all. For it was a mysterious Valentine's Day package--delivered to the victim before her death--that initially drew Hamish and Josie together on the investigation. As they work side by side, Hamish and Josie soon discover that the woman's list of admirers was endless, confirming Hamish's suspicion that love can be blind, deaf . . . and deadly.   -goodreads

When he discovers an old gatehouse on the property, he is immediately intrigued by its striking young inhabitant and sets out to uncover her identity, and her past. and EMMA

Beautiful, clever, rich - and single - Emma Woodhouse is perfectly content with her life and sees no need for either love or marriage. Nothing, however, delights her more than interfering in the romantic lives of others. But when she ignores the warnings of her good friend Mr Knightley and attempts to arrange a suitable match for her protegee Harriet Smith, her carefully laid plans soon unravel and have consequences that she never expected. With its imperfect but charming heroine and its witty and subtle exploration of relationships, Emma is often seen as Jane Austen's most flawless work.                                                                                                                                                         - goodreads

Restarting with a new BLackstone Audio choice with professional English narrator, Nadia May, adding to the authenticity of the novel.

Drew Farthering wanted nothing more than to end the summer of 1932 with the announcement of his engagement. Instead, he finds himself caught up in another mysterious case when the family solicitor is found murdered, an antique hatpin with a cryptic message, Advice to Jack, piercing his chest.

Evidence of secret meetings and a young girl's tearful confession point to the victim's double life, but what does the solicitor's murder have to do with the murder of a physician on the local golf course? Nothing, it would seem--except for another puzzling note, affixed with a similar-looking bloodied hatpin.

Soon the police make an arrest in connection with the murders, but Drew isn't at all certain they have the right suspect in custody. And why does his investigation seem to be drawing him closer and closer to home?   - goodreads

 GOD ENCOUNTER
Through imaginative prayer we can meet God in many ways. The imagination is, in fact, one of the greatest blessings God has given us–a tool that can help us in some small way to comprehend the incomprehensible fact that God is truly at our side. Now, in God Encounter, best-selling author Lisa Tawn Bergren [Waterfall - River of Time series]
taps in to this underutilized gift, introducing a creative, exciting prayer practice that will revitalize prayer  and transform the way we see God.

Blending the trusted, ancient Christian practice of meditation and the contemporary use of visualization, Lisa leads readers again and again to safe places–a cabin deep in a cool, dense forest; a foggy California bay; a rustic beach house; a refreshing desert oasis–where we can interact with God: sharing our heart, expanding our spirit, and opening our inner self to God’s Presence.

Filled with creative prayers that will awaken the reader's soul and teach much about our desire for God, God Encounter also prepares and encourages to adapt and create our own imaginative prayers–
a process that will enable us to encounter God in all new ways and better understand the immeasurable depth of God's love for us.                              - goodreads

Artist Annie Wright likes her life free of complications, especially complications of the male persuasion. She has her dream job running an art gallery by the sea, her volunteer work rescuing abandoned dogs, and that's enough for her. She doesn't like to talk about her past, especially how she became a widow after just a few years of marriage... until one day her past walks right into the Cape Light Gallery in the form of her late husband's best friend Jeremy, the man who left the country rather than see Annie married to someone else. Add in an abused and distrustful pile of fur named Bear and the machinations of the powerful Westing family, and Annie's life is suddenly full of complications. The bestselling author of THE MAN WHO LOVED PRIDE and PREJUDICE returns us to the seaside town of WoodsHole                                                                          in this novel inspired by Jane Austen's PERSUASION.     - goodreads
