A word artisan of wit and wisdom, Ms Ruchti's light touch in developing thoughtful responses to heavy topics makes reading pure pleasure. 
The mysterious death of our protagonist's charge add complexities to Becca's future.
Ambiguities of belonging are most pleasingly resolved for our two MCs

Contemporary story revealing poignancy of past regrets and the miracles of restoration that result from one eleven year old girl's letter of compassion for her neighbour. One perfect spring pastime.

{book=320 pages 
audio is 26 chapters}
Love the story. Contemporary life influenced by an intriguing past. Imaginary bookish situations form a delightful storyline...
The audiobook, due to release June 2nd, I found disappointing due to narrator's characterizations and voice incongruity with youthful main character.  Sample it for yourself at downpour.com to form your own opinion....  
But don't miss the goodness of Goodnight June!
