Friday Five Celebrating Women {and Retreats}!

Today's Friday Five from
Rev KJarla at Rev Gals Blog Pals
is all about Women!
Perfectly timed for Int'l Women's Day I must say ~
here are her questions for us.
how would you answer?

This Friday-Saturday is our annual Women's Retreat at my church.  It's one of my favorite 24 hours of the year, because we enjoy each other, we laugh, we cry, we support each other..and all of that good stuff!
So, since I am in the WR mode, let's talk about women in your life!

1. Name a woman author you very much love to read.
Agatha Christie tops the list when I want to treat myself to timeout with a book!

2. Name a woman from the Bible with whom you would
like to enjoy a nice long coffee talk.
definitely Deborah found in Judges 5.2-31 or
+ Abigail  1 Samuel 25:3

3. Name a famous woman from history with whom you would like to have lunch.
Jane Austen ! great humour and insights ~ great conversation...

4. Name a living famous or infamous woman with whom you would
like to go out to dinner.
Moya Brennan - especially if dinner is in Ireland!
love her, love her music...

5. If you could be SuperWoman (o.k., I know you already ARE)
what three special powers would you like to have?
1-instantaneous travel - {probably a particular word for this}
feel free to educate me if you know the word!
yep! just found a like-minded traveller, Teri, who blogs
over at Clever Title Here who says it is "apparate" ~ Thanks Teri!
From Latin apparēre (to appear) in late Latin, as of a servant who appears on being summoned
3-i'll add it when i've thought a bit more on it...
