This post is just plain FuN to add to FHC !
Before I left for my week away to attend the conference,
I contacted the hotel to ok parcel delivery for guests.
With their direction, I was able to have books sent to me there~
You can imagine the fun of arriving to find 4 packages waiting
and additional ones arriving each day of the stay!
Sooooo ~
my mailbox looked quite like this!
of the 13 {!} books received - Yes! it's totally crazy ~
here's one cozy mystery I have just completed reading...
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
An easy read of 129 pgs this evening! discussion questions also included if you're looking for a short book club read.
I completed Deborah Malone's cozy mystery with a cozy comforter of my own
along with a warm cuppa!
the story was short , keeping a steady pace of action, ad libs and deduction led by our protagonist , Trixie, who is sent to Dahlonega on a writing assignment for her 'Georgia By The Way' editor.
Taking advantage of the Gold Rush Days weekend celebration in combo with her assignment, Trixie brings longtime friend DeeDee along... though it turns out to be anything but the anticipated weekend of antiquing and shopping they'd planned!
DeeDee is discovered holding a bloodied pickaxe over the dead body of a prominent citizen of Dahlonega in the town's Gold Museum, kicking their weekend off in the wrong direction. Trixie forges ahead in her own direction intending to vindicate her friend, unintentionally increasing their dangerous escapades...

It's Monday What Are You Reading ?
books i've been reading ~
Tethered by her impulsive promise to marry Lord John Lemon - the path of least resistance - Alexandria Featherstone sets off toward Iceland in search of her parents with a leaden heart. A glimpse of her guardian, the Duke of St. Easton - the path less traveled by - on Dublin’s shore still haunts her.
Will he come after her? Will he drag her back to London, quelling her mission to rescue her treasure-seeking parents, or might he decide to throw caution to the wind and choose Foy Pour Devoir: “Faith for Duty,” the St. Easton motto. The Featherstone motto Valens et Volens: “Willing and Able,” beats in her heart and thrums through her veins. She will find her parents and find their love, no matter the cost.
The powerful yet wing-clipped Duke of St. Easton has never known the challenge that has become his life since hearing his ward’s name. Alexandria Featherstone will be the life or the death of him. Only time and God’s plan will reveal just how much this man can endure for the prize of love.
