Creative Altered Journal Blog Hop 10/26

Welcome to our Altered Journal Blog Hop !

There are 16 of us who have completed projects ~
We're hoping you'll enjoy the inspiration as you
tour through the HoP!

The Altered Journal has been a much anticipated project ~
Lots of Creativity stirred up !
Contemplation and Reflection
on what I wanted to use in creating my journal
plus hunting for items that inspired me
in order to complete it to satisfaction..

My intention was to create a
Gratitude Journal
that artistically inspirited intentional expressions of Heartfelt Appreciation ~

here's one that inspired me...

from Angela, The English Romantic's, gorgeous creations !
and

Melissa's of LilyBean's Paperie

From all that inspy, here's what resulted...
{ pic Thanks to photo friend, LiL,
now back safely after being caught in a rural sleet storm!}

It is well documented that people who journal their gratitude
are 25% happier than those who do not !
From Stanford Uni Alumni site we read how to
"Make Thanksgiving last all year by practicing gratitude!"
and how those
"who kept gratitude journals every day for a week ranked higher
in happiness and lower on stress levels... "

Recognized as part of the benefits discovered in the
Stanford University
chronic illness self management program which
I instruct.

A gratitude journal is an intentional tool
that inspirits us to value
 what life is already offering...

By learning to look with eyes of appreciation,
we are more inclined to find happiness ~

Gratitude journallers learn to live in the moment
~ to 'Be' present

Living Healthier and HapPier sharing daily 'thankyous'
is definitely enough of a reason for me to create
a Gratitude Journal !
{ In fact, I'm already planning my next one! }

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home,
a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past,
brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”

~ Melodie Beattie

Beautiful inspiration journals and I think a gratitude journal is very uplifting and a great idea. It's a way of keeping the focus on the little things that make us happy throughout the day.

A gratitude journal is a perfect idea. The first thing I do each morning is thank God for that day. We all have so many blessings, we just need to take the time to notice and be grateful.

Happy Pink Saturday.♥

Sharing this link with my friend Kelli. She does something similar with her journals as well. I'm a plain ol' journal sort of gal, but you're right. Journaling makes a huge difference in my emotional (and definitely spiritual) well being!

Such beauty. I think whatever we write our gratitude list in should be something we love. It's interesting how being aware of life's gifts brings joy and peace. I have so much to be thankful for.

Fabulous! Love all the detail and layering that went into these. I made a gratitude journal once. A friend borrowed it and I never got it back so I didn't write in it. lol! I don't write alot of things down, but there is not a day that I don't take at least a moment on ponder on all of the blessings that I have and am thankful for. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup. Happy to be following you.
Hugs,
Jann
