Exactly 2 months to the day MoM left for her new life in her heavenly home...
*
It was minutes after posting the previous post
my sister in law
arrived at the door to tell me, so kindly, in person
that the care home had called us all to gather as MoM was passing...
SIL drove me there and I didn't leave til the next night after
she left us.
*
Thank you for your patience as I transition from
a busy life caring for my MoM to
feeling entirely lost and in a fog.
*
Transitioning is never easy.
Healing is another...

Thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. *hugs*
It's not easy to lose a parent. You take all the time you need.
I've lived in a different state than my mother for about 15 years when she passed almost three years ago. I got to see her one last time about two weeks before she was called home. Hospice had been called in and she was in and out of consciousness. Just before I left for my home, I bent down and whispered in her ear, "I love you, Mom. God loves you." I don't know if she heard me, but I like to think she did.
Feel free to email me if you need an ear, or a sounding board. *HUGS*
So sorry about your mom. My thoughts are with you. I wish you the best of things in the New Year.
Praying for you ... it takes time. I've been there, done that. Don't rush through it. Life will still be there once you've recovered from your loss.
Hmm. I was surprised you hadn't had more comments - until I wrote one and it disappeared. Methinks there could be a blogger issue?
Regardless, I was writing to say I'm praying for you. And also to let you know it's okay to take however long you need to recover from your loss. I have walked in your shoes. It's hard.
désolée pour votre maman
bon courage
avec toute ma tendresse
