Calm is a lovely word for you, and my word is blossom.
I've never thought about one word for the year. The only one I can come up with us LOVE, which almost seems too potent to be my one word theme. But there it is, a word for all seasons and any year.

I've never done this one word thing, either. I'll try 'notice'. Reminding me to take note of the precious little moments in life and record them somehow, on my blog, notebook, Twitter...
I have never chosen One Word for the year, I am usually trying to juggle all sorts of things - ha. But if last year my overall idea was to Be Still, Be Present; I think a good extension from that is to be also Be Calm. So I think continuing on, encompassing all that together, is a great resolution for the year. For always.
The 2016 word is "Post-truth"
