It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 6/25

Yes!  a Weekend with Reading !

I had the pleasure of beginning and completing
Lucy Come Home

Full review will follow on June 30 when it's my blog stop
on the Litfuse Tour.
For now I'll just say this story took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotion
as wild as any in the Carnivals providing the story's background !

Received in the post ?
A much anticipated Jane Austen variation of Mansfield Park.
Christina Dudley's  just released,
The Beresfords

A contemporary variation and coming of age story,
"Only Frannie sees the faults running beneath the family landscape ~
not that anyone's asking her opinion..."
Looking forward to learning much more !

Mary's Blessing ~ McKenna's Daughters Series Book II

"Mary Lenora Murray knows she is adopted.
As she was growing up, her mother called her
"God's blessing."
Now that she's gone, Mary no longer feels like any kind of blessing..."
Definitely wanting to know more about Mary's Blessing!

Another new release,
this one from Sandra Byrd,
The Secret Keeper ~ Ladies in Waiting Book 2

An historical novel of Kateryn Parr,
"The gown was ruined and the black clumps...
became a flock of beady-eyed ravens which took wing toward the Tower of London,
whilst we watched in horror and dread..."
Another Anticipaaaation !

My favorite read last week was Chi's Sweet Home, Volume 1 by Kanata Konami. Please come see what else I'm reading.

I am not reading anything inspirational - just a Linda Fairstein murder mystery and a medical book - "Lose the Wheat - Lost the Weight". I switch between the 2 so I don't go completely crazy with the information!

These novels look interesting to me, especially The Secret Keeper. It looks like a candidate for my TBR list. :)
