Congratulations to Jane! She has touched so many of us with her writing and her life. The drawing and quote are fab!

Is this your original first edition book? Oh my! That is really something special to have in one's collection.

I love reading too! Add a cup of tea and I am in heaven : )
Hugs,
Terri

Am enjoying my cup of tea as I write this, made by my Mr Darcy. My favourite passage (today that is) towards the end of Chapter 44 when Elizabeth is reflecting on her change of heart towards Darcy after meeting at Pemberley.

Thank you for the invitation to tea.

"They were within twenty yards of each other, and so abrupt was his appearance, that it was impossible to avoid his sight. Their eyes instantly met, and the cheeks of each were overspread with the deepest blush. He absolutely started, and for a moment seemed immoveable from surprise; but shortly recovering himself, advanced towards the party, and spoke to Elizabeth, if not in terms of perfect composure, at least of perfect civility."
(Volume III - Chapter)
I love this scene! It makes me dream!:)
Who owns the first edition of the book is really lucky!
Many thank for visiting my blog!
Greeting from Italy:)

Holy smokes that's something, isn't it? Such a loved story. I can't even tell what is my favourite part; but the ones which stand out are, the visit Lizzy made to Pemberley with her aunt and uncle and the visit she had to endure to her cousin Mr Collins and his wife and those dreary evenings with Lady Catherine De Bourge. Lucky girl she had Darcy there. :) Now I want to reread my book. :)

I love everything Austen except for the books. I just cannot seem to get through them though I adore the movies! ;)

hello
