I've read aloud to my children since birth. I also require an hour a day of reading from each of them. They are all avid readers.
Blessings,
Laura
I listen to audio books and audible all the time, since I have a 70 mile round trip commute to work...it's the only part of teh commute I enjoy.
I only really use audio books on long car journeys as I find the pace of reading to slow for me - my sister being blind is an avid listener, she finds though that the narrator is the most important - is she can't get on with the voice she cannot read the book - a problem books themselves don't give us.
My mother had them all the time when she was bed bound and had lost her sight, all her old favourites, a few new ones. I have a collection for journeys and my older age when I can no longer see the page well enough even for an e-book:)
Enjoy the books:)
