Love revealed ...

"why don't you ask God to give you a fresh revelation of His Love for you?"
pastor challenged us last evening.  " i ask You for a new revelation of Your love for me..."   and in the fleeting moments between asking and stilling my heart came the picture of the largest wave i have ever seen!  like the massive surfing waves off Hawaii's north shore.  in stillness i absorbed its magnificence.  'deep calling to deep'  within me.  what secrets of the deep were being revealed?  what revelation of God's love?  'all Your surging rapids and waves are sweeping over me'...
what joy in this pursuit!  what awe and wonder!  i've seen the beauty.  the magnitude of height, depth, breadth and length through this picture.  the power, the constancy, the strength of that Love.  its inevitability.  nor is there any comparison to human love.  this love is matchless.  it's vast.  it's overwhelming.  it's relentless.  i can't withstand it.  it's cleansing.  it's unending...
so today i ask God to give you too a fresh revelation, or maybe it's a first revelation, of His Love for you.  and if you're willing to share what that revelation might be, i'd be honoured to listen and share your joy of discovery...

*I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you'll be able to take in with all followers of Yeshua/Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ's love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.*

This fits today's post perfect! What a great example of using a concrete image to portray and abstract.

I'm glad you stopped by HCB today!
