~ Lord of Life and Power, through the mighty resurrection of Your Son, You have overcome the old order of sin and death and have made all things new in Him. May we, being dead to sin  live alive to You in Yeshua Jesus. On that day of Victory, Your faithful proclaimed the Good News  of Yeshua Jesus' resurrection, and the world was changed forever. Teach us to keep faith with them, that our witness may be as bold, our love as deep, and our faith as true. May we share our joy in the gift of salvation Jesus has won for all.
Rejoicing in the name of our Redeemer we pray.  Amen. ~

#SONGSonSUNDAYS: LIVING HOPE CD GIVEAWAY! July 26 - Aug 5th

WELCOME to #SONGSonSUNDAYS 

~ our last for this gorgeous summer month of July! I can't believe how this month has just flown by amidst an unusual mix of heat waves and thunderstorms here on the Prairies.
I hope you've been able to catch mostly sunny rays where you are... Today is definitely focused on HOPE and LIVING HOPE  a brand new album exclusive release via some people with very large and caring hearts.

On June 2, 2015, Pizza Ranch released a CD called Living Hope containing twelve songs - new music by many of our favourite Christian artists.  Most of the songs are brand-new and written exclusively for this CD around the theme of Hope.  Artists include Colton Dixon, Francesca Batistelli, Ellie Holcomb, Sidewalk Prophets, Kevin Max, Bart Millard, Passion Band featuring Kristian Stanfill, Michael W. Smith, and Mark Schultz.

SACRED SPACE: CHRISTMAS SUNDAY 2 + #SONGSonSUNDAYS 4.1.15

Today I invite you to create some sacred space...  

An invitation to stillness.  Rest.   Then to re-enter your day renewed.
Choose a quiet time and space where you will be  undisturbed and undistracted. Be present to yourself and open to God's Presence. * "May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be acceptable in your Presence, ADONAI, my Rock and Redeemer." Psalm 19.15 CJB

The Presence of God As I sit here, the beating of my heart, the ebb and flow of my breathing, the movements of my mind are all signs of God's ongoing creation of me. I pause for a moment, and become aware of this presence of God within me.
* Freedom I ask for the grace to let go of my own concerns and be open to what God is asking of me, to let myself be guided and formed by my loving Creator.
* Consciousness In the presence of my loving Creator, I look honestly at my feelings over the last day, the highs, the lows and the level ground. Can I see where the Lord has been present?
*

* The Word I take my time to read the Word of God, slowly, a few times, allowing myself to dwell on anything that strikes me.

Readings follow the church year, noting Advent, Lent, Feast days, etc. I have found the prayer book to be thoughtful and thought inspiring. I find that journalling my responses personalizes the spiritual journey that  practicing a daily sacred space offers.
